ABA's Inland Empire announces name the team contest
June 23, 2004 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Ontario Warriors News Release
Ontario, CA. Pastor Chuck Singleton, CEO of the new Inland Empire ABA expansion basketball team today announced a "Name the Team" contest. According to Pastor Singleton, "The team management sat around the table discussing names and everyone had a different name. Unable to decide on one in particular, we decided to open it up to the public and see what they'd like."
Singleton continued, "And to add a little interest, we'll award two season tickets to the games as a prize. We'll do the same for naming a mascot."
To enter, email your team name/mascot to InlandEmpireABA@aol.com - and be sure to include your name, your email address, street, city, state and zip code. All entries become the intellectual property of Cascade Events, LLC.
Pastor Singleton concluded, "You wouldn't believe some of the names our management came up with. I am sure the public will be more creative."
The Inland Empire professional basketball team begins play in November. The team will be announcing its head coach, GM, tryout camps and other information shortly. For more information, log onto www.abalive.com.
