ABA University still accepting applications

May 2, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release


St. Louis, MO. ABA University-St. Louis Campus announced today that they are still accepting applications for its 12-week sessions. The sessions begin Monday, June 5th and conclude Friday, August 25th. Sessions are held two hours per day Monday thru Friday from 9am-10am. Applications will be accepted until May 31st.

The ABA University is designed to teach professional basketball both on and off the court. The Professional Basketball Player 101 curriculum is recommended to individuals that have played organized basketball in high school or college and need additional training and preparation to compete on a professional level.

The 12-week session will instruct players in the areas of basketball training and weight lifting, how to increase players' market contract values, training for television and radio interviews, public appearances, community work, as well as after-career management possibilities. Each class will be taught by instructors with years of experience in their profession. ABA University instructors will critique player's abilities one-on-one and provide them with an overall assessment. Players will be required to participate in exhibition games where pro scouts can meet and recruit players.

Enrollment into the ABA University program will continue until May 31th. No walk-ups will be accepted. The ABA University tuition is only $360.00. Housing is available for an additional charge.
