Tacoma Navigators News Release

Seattle, WA. Puget Sound Sports and Entertainment, LLC (PSSE), the parent company of the Bellevue Blackhawks, the 2004-2005 runner-up in the American Basketball Association (ABA) playoffs, and the Puget Sound Sports Hall of Fame and Museum Foundation, as well as developer of sports arenas in Bellevue and Olympia, WA, has acquired the ABA market rights for Tacoma, Washington.

The new team will join the ABA for the 2004-2005 season which begins in November.

Michael Tuckman will pull double duty as President and General Manager of both the Bellevue and Tacoma teams. Tuckman, the former president and general manager of KONG-TV in Seattle until its sale in 2000, is CEO of PSSE, a real estate and sports management company with a dozen accredited investors as partners, including Robert Spitzer, partner in the Seattle law firm of Garvery Schubert Barer, and Peter Rettman, managing director of National Securities in Seattle.

"Since our strong showing in the ABA championship game, we've been repeatedly asked if we're excited about the growth prospects for the ABA," said Tuckman. "I think this move answers that question emphatically." Joe Newman, ABA CEO, added, "Mike Tuckman ran one of the best ABA operations last season and his team proved to be outstanding. We have no doubt that he'll make both Bellevue and Tacoma premiere teams in the league."

Tuckman's first priority is to hire a coaching staff. He invites queries from interested parties. For more information, contact Michael Tuckman at 206 686 4636x11, email michael.tuckman@pugetsoundsports.org, visit www.blackhawkshoops.com or www.abalive.com.
