
ABA names first Player of the Week award winners

Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) announced its first two Player of the Week Awards. The winners were announced Saturday by Derrick Pearson, host of ABALIVETALK, on his weekly broadcast. Congratulations to both players. They are:
Week #1: Chandler Thompson, 6'5" guard/forward from the Indiana Alley Cats. Chandler scored 26 points and had nine rebounds in the season opener against the Pittsburgh Xplosion.
Week#2: Randy Gill, 6'2" guard from the Maryland Nighthawks who had a 35 point, 4 rebound, 5 assist and 11-3 pointer game to open the season.
