ABA Atlanta Vision announces 2005 tryouts

April 16, 2005 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release


Atlanta, GA. "This will be one of the biggest events and greatest opportunities for basketball players," stated Atlanta Vision Owner and GM Quentin Townsend. "We are building a fresh new team and the window of opportunity is wide open because every position is available. Early registration is so vital because Atlanta is such a great place to live and play. Players are already signing up and space is limited. Let there be no mistake. The Vision is here. The Vision is now."

Open Player Tryouts are Saturday, July 2nd and Sunday, July 3rd at the Samson's Center located at 6400 Woodrow Road, Lithonia, GA 30038. Tryouts will be directed by the Atlanta Vision staff and invited professional coaches, trainers and scouts. Players must provide completed application materials including a $100. money order or cashier's check payable to ATLANTA VISION. It is a non-refundable registration fee due by Tuesday, May 31, 2005. After May 31st, a $150 registration fee is required for all applications if space is still available. At the end of the tryouts, selected players will be involved in summer and pre-season events and partipate in the Atlanta Vision 2005-2006 Training Vet Camp which begins on November 1st.

The Atlanta Vision will also hold Dance Team Auditions on Saturday, April 23rd at the Samson's Center located at 6400 Woodrow Road, Lithonia, GA 30038. Pre-registration begins promptly at 745am. Dancers much complete an application and bring a $15 money order or cashier's check payable to the ATLANTA VISION. It is a non-refundable registration fee to the dance auditions. "We are so pleased to have the talented Vanessa Gibson join us as our Dance Team Director and Choreographer," Atlanta Vision co-owner Akilah Townsend comments. "There is so much excitement and entertainment in store for Atlanta Vision fans."
