ABA announces first 2005 referee recruitment session

Rochester, NY. Tom Chichester, ABA Director of Officials, today announced that he will hold his first referee recruitment session in Miami on Saturday, April 30th at Joe Robbie Stadium. It will be held in conjunction with Tim Hardaway's new ABA Miami Pit Bulls professional basketball team scheduled to begin play in November. It will be held prior to the start of a major 3 on 3 tournament that will take place that weekend.
The recruitment session will begin in the morning and will be an intense three hours of observation of officials. Any officials interested in taking part in this session should contact Tom Chichester at tcrefaba@frontiernet.net as soon as possible. An application form will then be sent to you. Time and space is limited, so please do not hesitate to respond if you would like to participate in this opportunity to be an official for the fastest growing professional sports league in the country - the ABA. Chichester stated, "Last season with about 30 teams, we needed over 200 officials. This season, we're doubling the size of the league and will need at least that many more.
