
ABA announces cable radio network for game of the week

Indianapolis, IN. Joe Newman, ABA Co-Founder, today announced that ABA professional basketball games will be broadcast on cable stations thoughout the US during the upcoming season. According to Newman, "Events Media International, Inc. (EMI) has been doing a spectacular job putting together our radio Game of the Week program. Already they've announced nearly 150 radio stations - and now they've added cable radio on cable TV systems in many states. Fans will be able to follow ABA games almost everywhere."
Gary Nice, EMI CEO added, "Quite frankly, the response to the ABA has exceeded even our expectations. Stations are eager to carry the games as they see the remarkable growth and popularity of the league. This has truly been fun."
Cable systems carrying ABA games will include GCI, TelAlaska Cable, Cablevision, Cox Communications, Saddlebrooke Cable, Sun Lakes Cable, Sunbird Cable, Charter Communications, Adelphia, Cox Communications, Time Warner Cable, Comcast, Mountain Cable,Avenue TV Cable, Northland Cable, Garden Isle Cable, Cable One, Mediacom, Insight Communications, MDM, Millennium Digital Media, EduCABLE, Chillicothe Cable TV, HDTV Digital Satellite, Lexcom Cable, AT & T Cable Services, Telemedia, Northland Cable, Intermedia, Precis Communications and Sweetwater Cable.
These systems will provide coverage in Alaska, California, Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
Nice concluded, "While this doesn't cover every state and city (yet), combined with our regular radio broadcasting certainly will make ABA games available to millions of people nationwide."
