A special season for the Winnipeg ICE came to an end Friday night in Edmonton.
The Oil Kings scored three goals in a span of 55 seconds to open up a 3-0 first period lead on their way to a 7-1 victory winning the WHL's Eastern Conference Championship 4 games to 1.
Carter Souch, Jake Neighbours and Kaiden Guhle each scored twice for Edmonton, who outshot the ICE 37-20. Jakub Demek had the other goal.
Connor McClennon scored Winnipeg's lone marker on goaltender Sebastian Cossa.
Gage Alexander and Daniel Hauser both saw action in net for the ICE.
