Walla Walla Sweets Release Promotional Schedule for 2015

WALLA WALLA, Wash. - Theme Nights are back this season, families can feast on select concessions items for $1 on Sundays courtesy of NAPA Auto Parts, Kids are just $1 on Sundays and Mondays thanks to Community Bank, and Tuesday is all about $2 bills at Borleske Stadium. With less than 80 days until the start of the 2015 season of West Coast League baseball, the Walla Walla Sweets have announced their full promotional calendar for the upcoming season.

The Sweets summer will start with a bang Friday, June 5, when Opening Day presented by Edward Jones is capped by a night sky full of post-game fireworks. Also a part of the 7:05 p.m. home opener against the Medford Rogues is a magnet schedule giveaway presented by Edward Jones, Union-Bulletin, and CAPPS Broadcast Group.

The Sweets have packed the promotional schedule this season with plenty of giveaway nights and fireworks shows on select nights. These top nights include team poster giveaway on Friday, June 19, baseball cap giveaway on Thursday, July 2 presented by Holiday Inn Express, Tough Enough to Wear Pink t-shirt giveaway on Friday, July 17 presented by Providence St. Mary, and Sweet Lou bobble head giveaway on Sunday, August 9 presented by Columbia REA.

"With opening day just a little over two months away, the front office and fans are gearing up for another season of Sweets baseball," said Sweets president Zachary Fraser, "We've worked hard this year to bring back a few of the top promotions that we've all come to love, as well as great new additions that will truly enhance the fan experience."

This season the Walla Walla Sweets have brought back popular promotions and are making room for new additions to the promotional calendar. Fan-favorite $2 Tuesday is back, where fans can receive $2 reserved tickets, $2 Lil' Lou hot dogs, $2 32 oz fountain sodas, and $2 Rolling Rocks all game long (alcohol through the 7th inning).

Also returning are Kids Days presented by Community Bank, and NAPA Family Feast Sundays. Kids Days on every Sunday and Monday home game feature kids reserved tickets for only $1 with the purchase of a full-priced adult ticket. For NAPA Family Feast Sundays, fans can pick up coupons at participating NAPA Auto Parts for a true feast at the ballpark: A Lil' Lou hot dog, a fountain soda, Tim's Cascade chips, and an ice cream sandwich for $1 each (with coupon).

Thanks to sponsor Basel Cellars, Theme Nights are back, where spirited fans are encouraged to show off their creativity on nights specially focused on Fairy Tales (June 6), Clue/Murder Mysteries (June 20), Willy Wonka (July 18), County Fair (Aug. 1), and White-Out Borleske Stadium (Aug. 8). Costume contest winners will be awarded a prize, and all fans who dress up will be entered for a chance to win a party at Basel Cellars for themselves and nine guests.

New promotions this season will be Taste of Games where the Sweets will highlight specific food items such as National Corn on the Cob Day (June 11), National Blueberry Month (July 16), National Hot Dog Day (July 23), and National Rootbeer Float Day (Aug. 7).

Also new this year will be Washington Wednesdays, featuring things that make Walla Walla and the state of Washington so wonderful. Dates include service group night (June 10), Walla Walla Sports Night (July 1), Cougar vs. Husky Night (July 8), Celebrate the 12 (July 15), and Mariners' Night (July 22), complete with an appearance from Mariner Moose and Mariners' giveaways.

"Every year we try to create a schedule that makes the fan experience fun and memorable, while still being affordable," General Manager Katie Biagi explained. "We've added some new promotions and are looking forward to welcoming everyone to Borleske Stadium for another great season."
