HarbourCats Make Player Moves, Manager Suspended

July 2, 2014 - West Coast League (WCL)
Victoria HabourCats News Release

The Victoria HarbourCats are home tonight to the Kitsap BlueJackets on Elvis Night, sponsored by Pacific Rim Exteriors, and Free Hot Dogs for Kids Night, sponsored by Maple Leaf Meats.

The team has some announcements about the roster:

-- Head Coach Bob Miller has been suspended four games by West Coast League President Dennis Koho following Miller's ejection in a Sunday road game against the Cowlitz Black Bears. The suspension, which came down this afternoon, starts immediately.

-- RHP/IF Jacob McAdams has been released. The native of Scottsdale, Arizona, who attended the University of Arizona last year but will be transferring to another school this fall, will be joining a summer wood-bat league in Kentucky. McAdams was 1-4 as a hitter and 0-0 with a 8.30 ERA in three appearances (4.1 innings). He struck out four and walked six, giving up five hits and six runs.

-- LHP Don Sullivan, who is starting tonight's game, will be leaving the team for an indefinite period on Thursday to clear up academic issues in California. The lefty from Riverside City College has to take a series of exams for his transfer this coming fall.

The HarbourCats are off Thursday, then start a three-game series in Kitsap on Friday, before continuing on to Yakima Valley on Monday. The next home game is Thursday against the Medford Rogues.
