Rogues Add Three

MEDFORD, OR - The Medford Rogues today announced the addition of three players to the team's 2013 inaugural season roster. Joining the Rogues are catcher Mason Ankeney (Oklahoma Baptist University), outfielder Daniel McNabb (Western Oregon) and lefthanded pitcher Connor Harris (George Fox University).

Ankeney, the starting catcher for the NAIA Division I 12th-ranked Bison, has started 32 of the team's 33 games. He is currently hitting .360 with one home run and 25 runs batted in, and has only two errors in 175 chances behind the plate. A native of Modesto, CA, Ankeney is the Oklahoma Baptist teammate of Rogues 1B Matt Page.

McNabb, a lefthanded hitter, leads Western Oregon with a .365 batting average and 19 RBI, starting 24 of the Wolves' 26 games in the leadoff spot. He is 2-4 in stolen bases and has made no errors in the field this season. McNabb is the Western Oregon teammate of Rogues OF Vince Ampi and 2B Jake Whisler.

Harris, a starter all year for George Fox, is currently 5-0 with a 1.73 ERA, with a 21/11 strikeout to walk ratio. He is second on the team with 41 1/3 innings pitched and is tied with six starts. McNabb is the George Fox teammate of Rogues RHP Taylor Dunn.

The West Coast League is an 11-team collegiate wood-bat baseball league composed of the best college players, coaches, facilities and operators in the industry. Ranging from Medford, Oregon north to Kelowna, B.C., the league has operated as the WCL since 2005. In 2012, a league record 57 WCL players were selected in the Major League draft.
