
Rapids Trade Bruno Guarda to FC Dallas

COMMERCE CITY, CO. (Monday, July 28, 2008) - The Colorado Rapids traded Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guarda to FC Dallas in exchange for Dallas' natural second and third round picks in the 2009 MLS SuperDraft and an allocation, the club announced today. Per club and league policies terms of the allocation are not disclosed.
Guarda was originally acquired by the Rapids after Colorado won his rights via a league lottery last week. The two-time Conference USA Player of the Year and Hermann Trophy semifinalist signed with MLS and is foregoing his senior year at Southern Methodist University and now will be reunited with his former collegiate coach and current FC Dallas head coach Schellas Hyndman.
