
Sich named SPHL Rookie of the Year

HUNTSVILLE, AL - Florida Seals forward Robert Sich has been named the SPHL Rookie of the Year by the league's seven coaches.
The Windsor, Ontario native led all rookies in scoring with 56 points, 29 goals and 27 assists despite only playing in 46 games. He finished fourth on the Seals in scoring.
"This is an awesome achievement," Sich said. "It is nice to be recognized by the SPHL for what I did this year. I just hope I can continue to get better and help the Seals to a championship."
Sich scored four power play goals, three short-handed goals and added three game-winning goals helping the Seals to a third place finish in the SPHL.
"You can argue has been one of the best players in the league since we got him," Seals head coach, Tommy Stewart said. "Rob has great skills and should be very successful throughout his hockey career."
