Four IBL Champions play on international stage in three countries

Battle Creek, Michigan-The Battle Creek Knights professional basketball team are proud to announce four members of our 2005 IBL Champions are playing at the present on the International stage in three countries. Those players include:

Ben Reed, guard, Western Michigan University, with Ovarense Aerosoles Ovar in Portugal. Ben help lead Ovarense in scoring in the championship game for the 4th North Tournament title in Portugal this month.

Robby Collum, guard, Western Michigan University, with Cometas de Queretaro in Mexico. Robby is featured with some playing photos on his team's home website @ www.cometasqro.com.

Logan Vander Velden, forward, Wisconsin-Green Bay, with Deportes Castro in Chile. Logan's leadership skills on and off the court has been a key to his team's success up to this point of the season for Deportes Castro.

Bobby Madison, forward, Western Michigan University, also with Deportes Castro in Chile. Bobby is among the top five in scoring, rebounds, and assistants, for Deportes Castro, in the Dimayor League in Chile.

The Battle Creek Knights are holding team mascot auditions on Thursday, October 20th, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the team offices in McCamly Place.

Sir Jam A Lot and the Battle Creek Knights staff will be attendance at the United Way basketball tournament at the Lakeview High School gym this Friday night with ticket information on the 2006 season and to visit with participants.

Battle Creek Knights professional basketball 2006 (full and mini) season ticket packages are available at present by calling the team office's at 269-965-5001 or going to the team's website @ www.bcknights.com.
