PHILADELPHIA – Philadelphia Soul wide receiver/defensive back Rob Milanese has been placed on the team's exempt list after agreeing to a two-year contract with the San Diego Chargers late last week. Milanese, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, recently completed his rookie season with the Soul.

Milanese, a Wyckoff, NJ native, totaled 13 receptions for 265 yards and five touchdowns, ranking second among Philadelphia's rookies. Milanese's best game came in Week 3 against the Nashville Kats when he caught three passes for 75 yards and two touchdowns.

As a member of the Soul's Other League Exempt list, Milanese's rights are retained by Philadelphia.

Milanese, whose career at Penn spanned from 1999-2002, is the school's all-time leader in receiving yards. He finished his senior season as a member of the All-Ivy Offensive team and caught a pass in every game in which he played during his career – a streak of 39 contests.

The Arena Football League playoffs continue this weekend with a berth to ArenaBowl XIX at stake. The Georgia Force host the Orlando Predators this Saturday, June 4, while the Colorado Crush host the Chicago Rush on Sunday, June 5. Both games kickoff at 3pm and can be seen live on NBC.

Deposits are now being taken for 2006 Soul season tickets. Call (888) PHIL-AFL or log on to www.philadelphiasoul.com for more information.
