Sedric Webber Named NBDL Player of Month

GREENVILLE, S.C., April 2 – Columbus Riverdragons forward Sedric Webber has been named the National Basketball Development League Player of the Month for games played during March.

Over 10 games in March, Webber averaged 20.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.7 steals. He converted 46-percent from the field (73-of-160) and 83-percent from the free throw line (53-of-64). He scored in double figures in all 10 games during the month and has scored in double figures in every game since being acquired by Columbus on February 19.

Webber, who played collegiately at the College of Charleston, scored 27 points or more in four of 10 games during March, including a season-high 28 at Roanoke on March 20. He has led Columbus in scoring in five of the last seven games and has helped pace the Riverdragons to seven wins in the last 10 games.

Also nominated for March Player of the Month were Antonio Meeking of Asheville, Karim Shabazz of Charleston, Jeff Myers of Columbus, Junie Sanders of Fayetteville, Phil Ricci of Huntsville and Josh Asselin of Roanoke.
