Tulsa Talons News Release
The Tulsa Talons have been sold to a group of local investors, led by Henry Primeaux and Paul Ross, the team announced today.
Primeaux is a managing partner of Henry Primeaux's Crown Bristow, a Daimler-Chrysler franchise selling Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles. He was a consultant to the automotive industry from the mid-1960s to 1990, training dealers, manufacturers and vendors and giving motivational speeches. In 1995, he formed Primeaux Marketing a full service marketing, advertising, and public relations agency.
Ross is chairman of the board and CEO of the Par III Companies located in Tulsa and Denton, Texas. He has overseen the operations of the holding company for the acquisitions and investments made under the various owned companies since 1986. His company is currently serving as executive producer on a movie documentary on the Jenks vs. Union high school football rivalry of the last decade, entitled "King of the Mountain, A Rivalry in the Heartland."
In addition to Primeaux and Ross, former NFL player David Alexander will serve as the team's new general manager, and former Tulsa Oilers hockey player Sylvain Naud will be the team's vice president of operations.
"It's like sending your first child off to college," former owner Jeff Lund said of the sale. "It hurts. You know you're going to miss them, but at the same time, it's the best thing for them. I know this is the best thing for the franchise." Lund also said that he knows the Talons are in good hands with the new ownership group.
The Tulsa Talons will kick off their 5th af2 campaign on Saturday, April 3rd, hosting the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz. Season tickets are now on sale, starting at just $66! Call 918-664-4453 for more information, or log on to the Tulsa Talons website at www.tulsatalons.com.
