
97.1 FM "The Ticket" to Broadcast Blue Wahoos Games

PENSACOLA, Fla., - The Pensacola Blue Wahoos are pleased to announce 97.1 FM The Ticket as the team's flagship radio station for 2016. The Ticket will air all 140 games for the 2016 season.
Additionally, 100.3 FM WTKE (Destin/Ft. Walton Beach) and 93.5 FM WTKP (Panama City) on "The Ticket" Sports Network will broadcast a Blue Wahoos Game of the Week.
"With all three of their stations, this is a great opportunity for fans from Pensacola to Panama City to enjoy Blue Wahoos baseball," said team president Jonathan Griffith. "The Ticket is a great sports radio station that covers the panhandle which makes it an exciting partnership."
2015 Southern League Broadcaster of the Year Tommy Thrall returns for his fifth season in the booth. Thrall, who has been with the team since its inaugural season, has covered 551 games for the Blue Wahoos. Joining him this season is Media Relations/Broadcast Trainee Matt Schumacker who worked with the Johnson City Cardinals last year.
Fans will be able to tune into games on 97.1 FM "The Ticket" or listen for free at bluewahoos.com. Additionally, home games at Blue Wahoos Stadium as well as select road games will be available on MiLB.TV, a subscription-based service provided by Minor League Baseball.
With studios located in the Destin Commons, Destin, Fla., The Ticket Sports Network is the only FM sports talk station on the Emerald Coast from Pensacola to Fort Walton Beach to Panama City. The Ticket spans three different stations, from WTKE (100.3) to WTKP (93.5) and The Ticket Pensacola (97.1).
The first game of the 2016 regular season at Blue Wahoos Stadium is on Tuesday, April 12th against the Jacksonville Suns.
