67's Downed in North Bay
March 19, 2015 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Ottawa 67's News Release
Mathew Santos broke a 2-2 tie late in the opening period and the North Bay Battalion went on to post an important 5-2 win over the Ottawa 67's in Ontario Hockey League action Thursday night in North Bay.
Trent Mallette scored both of Ottawa's goal in the opening period.
Despite the loss, the 67's remain in fourth place in the OHL's Eastern Conference, but the Niagara IceDogs just one point behind, following a shootout win against the Barrie Colts on Thursday.
North Bay sits in third, four points ahead of Ottawa.
The 67's will be looking to win both the remaining two games at home this weekend at TD Place to clinch the fourth seed of the conference and clinch home-ice advantage in the opening round of the playoffs.
That mission begins Friday night against the Peterborough Petes (7:30 p.m. at TD Place) and continues on Sunday afternoon in the regular-season finale against the Sudbury Wolves at 2 p.m.
Tickets for the final two games of the regular-season and the opening round of the playoffs (dates, times and opponents are to be determined) are available by calling 613-232-6767, or by visiting the team's website.
