66ers to Host Open Tryout on October 19

TULSA, Okla., September 12, 2013 - The Tulsa 66ers, proud affiliate of the Oklahoma City Thunder, will hold an open tryout on Saturday, October 19, the team announced today.
Following registration at 8:15 a.m., two sessions will take place at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. inside the SpiritBank Event Center in Bixby, Okla.
Individuals will be evaluated through a variety of drills and scrimmages. Prospects will be assessed by Tulsa 66ers coaches and Oklahoma City Thunder basketball operations staff.
Previous open tryouts have produced several players who made the 66ers opening night roster including Brandon Brooks, Ben Colon, Marcus Lewis, Mario Little and LaDustin Williams.
Interested players should submit completed registration forms along with a $150 non-refundable participation fee to the Tulsa 66ers business office located at 10425 South 82nd East Avenue, Suite 105, Tulsa, OK, 741133. The required registration forms can be found on Tulsa66ers.com.
Those attending the tryouts may take advantage of a special $79 nightly rate at the Hampton Inn & Suites, located in Bixby adjacent to the SpiritBank Event Center. To reserve a room, call 918-394-2000 ext 701.
The 66ers open the 2013-14 NBA D-League season at home versus the Iowa Energy on Friday, Nov. 22.
