TULSA, Okla., November 22, 2006 - The Tulsa 66ers tip off their sophomore season with back-to-back home games against the Arkansas RimRockers Friday and Saturday, Nov. 24-25. Both games begin at 7 p.m. at the Expo Square Pavilion.
"We have a special evening of basketball and other fun, family activities planned for fans of all ages," said team president Joe Berry. "Our players and staff are looking forward to delivering a great experience not only for the opener but also throughout the entire season."
The 66ers home-opener will provide an exciting array of activities for all basketball fans. The festivities begin when national singing sensation Ernestine Dillard will sing the national anthem. The U.S. Air Force will present the color guard.
Youth will enjoy jumping in inflatables as well as shooting baskets on the sport court in the 66ers Kids Fun Zone.
66ers players, head coach Joey Meyer and the Lady 6ers dance team will participate in a free post-game autograph session and all basketball fans attending Friday's game will receive a 2006-07 66ers commemorative poster, courtesy of Community Care and magnetic schedule, courtesy of Chick-Fil-A. On Saturday, the first 1,066 fans will receive a Tulsa 66ers schedule t-shirt, courtesy of SemGroup, Melton Sales and Bama Companies.
Fans can also hear all of the exciting Tulsa 66ers action by tuning in to KAKC 1300 AM.
