60 Former NBA D-Leaguers Highlight 2008-09 Opening Day Rosters

NEW YORK, October 28, 2008 - An all-time high 60 players with NBA Development League experience round out 2008-09 NBA opening day rosters. The 60 former NBA D-Leaguers on NBA opening day rosters surpass the previous highs of 44 featured on 2007-08 NBA start-of-season rosters, and almost doubles the 35 former NBA D-Leaguers on 2006-07 opening day rosters.
Of the 60 former D-League players currently in the NBA, nine are members of teams in action tonight, including Gabe Pruitt and Patrick O'Bryant, members of the defending NBA Champion Boston Celtics and Jordan Farmar and Josh Powell of the L.A. Lakers, who will compete to defend the team's 2008 Western Conference Championship.
