Reading Express News Release

1) GAME TIME

Saturday, June 18

7:00 p.m. kickoff

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. at the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pa.

2) OPPONENT

The Chicago Slaughter, which also finished the season 8-6, is the conference's sixth and final seed in the playoffs. The Slaughter finished third in a very strong Great Lakes Division.

The Express and Slaughter met once in the regular-season, with the Slaughter narrowly winning 59-55 on March 5 in Chicago. The Slaughter's ownership group includes former Chicago Bears great Jim McMahon. Their head coach is former Bears DL Steve McMichael. McMahon and McMichael both had significant roles in the Bears' Super Bowl-winning 1985 season. The team also recently signed quarterback Juice Williams, a former standout at the University of Illinois in the Big Ten Conference.

3) TICKET INFORMATION (SPECIAL GROUP RATE)

Prices on all the best seats have been slashed for this game. Individual tickets are just $20. Tickets will be sold on a "best available" basis, from the bottom of the arena up (unless otherwise requested).

Special Group Rate! For groups of just six (6) or more, tickets are $15 each. This makes it easier to get a group together and take advantage of a 25% break in the ticket price.

Tickets for Saturday's game are now on sale. To order tickets, please call the Reading Express at 610.372.7277 or stop by the Sovereign Center box office.

4) PARK FOR ONLY $1

Courtesy of the Reading Parking Authority, parking for this Saturday night's game will only cost $1. This rate applies to all the manned parking garages in the city.

5) PLAYOFF DINNER ON FRIDAY

Join us for dinner at Hooters of Wyomissing on Friday night, June 17, from 5:30-7:30. Catch up with the Express team the night before the big playoff game against the Slaughter.

A buffet will be served for just $10 per person. Make this a fun night out with the team.
