MESA, ARIZONA -The Mesa Miners (27-21) lost their second straight home game to the Chico Outlaws (22-27) by giving up three runs in the top of the eighth inning. The 5-4 final makes Mesa 2-8 in their last 10 games.
Mesa got on the board first in the fifth inning with an RBI single by Digz Edwards. Edwards finished the game 2-for-3 with a run scored. Chico came right back in the top of the sixth to take a 2-1 lead with a 2-run home run by Mike Mallory. The Miners tied the game at 2-2 with a pinch-hit RBI single by Caleb Maher in the seventh.
