
3-0-1 Stampede begins 9-game homestand this weekend!

Sioux Falls Stampede News Release
The Sioux Falls Stampede (3-0-1) will put their three-game winning streak on the line this weekend when they return home to face Waterloo and Green Bay at the Sioux Falls Arena. On Friday, The Stampede kick-off a nine-game home stint when they host the Waterloo Blackhawks. On Saturday, the Herd square off against the defending Anderson Cup champion Green Bay Gamblers. Game times are 7:05 PM both Friday and Saturday and tickets are still available.
Last Friday, the Herd rallied from a 2-0 first period deficit to defeat the Fargo Force 4-3 in Fargo. Matt Zarbo provided the game winner midway through the third period. Click here for the box score.
The Stampede extended their winning streak on Saturday after defeating the Sioux City Musketeers 3-1 at the Tyson Events Center. Sam Coatta led the way with two first period goals while Clay Witt stopped 27 of 28 shots to earn the victory in goal. Click here for the box score.

This Friday when the Herd battle the Waterloo Blackhawks, every fan in attendance will receive a free look-a-like face card of Alltel's famous commercial spokesman, Chad, courtesy of Alltel Wireless. Use your face card during the game to fill the arena with the famous Chad!

Tropp Earns Leadership Role with Spartans
Former Stampede forward Corey Tropp has been named an "Alternate Captain" with the Michigan State Spartans this season. Tropp, a junior, posted a goal and an assist on Friday as Michigan State took down Clarkson 6-1. Tropp added two assists the following night to help lead the Spartans to a 4-3 victory and series sweep of Clarkson.
Tropp spent two years with the Stampede (2005-07) and was part of both the Herd's Anderson Cup and Clark Cup championship teams. He led the Stampede in scoring during the 2006-07 season with 62 points in 54 games. Tropp and the Spartans travel for a two-game series in Maine this weekend.
