20th Anniversary Legends Game to be Held August 5

Bridgeport, Conn.- The Bridgeport Bluefish will host a special seven-inning exhibition '20th Anniversary Legends Game' at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard on Saturday, August 5. The game will feature former Bluefish players versus former MLB players who have spent time with the Boston Red Sox, the New York Yankees, or the New York Mets.
"This event will be a very special for the Bluefish as well as the city of Bridgeport as we celebrate our 20th Anniversary of baseball at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard," said Bluefish General Manager Paul Herrmann. "We hosted a very similar event in 2015 as a part of our All-Star celebration, and it was hugely successful. We expect to once again draw baseball fans from all over the region to our city for this one-of-a-kind exhibition game."
The Bluefish team will consist of 'Fish alumni, including Luis Lopez ('08-'14), Willie Upshaw (Manager, '98-'00, '10-'14), Mike Guilfoyle ('98-'03), Adam Greenberg ('08-'11, '13), Mike Porzio ('05-'08, '10), and Mike Moras ('11-'12), among others.
The MLB team will consist of six former Major Leaguers, including Orlando "El Duque" Hernandez (NYY, '98-'02, '04; NYM, '06-'07), Dwight "Doc" Gooden (NYM, '84-'94; NYY, '96-'97, '00), Bill "Spaceman" Lee (BOS, '69-'78), Keith Foulke (BOS, '04-'06), Jeff Nelson (NYY, '96-'00, '03), and Carlos Baerga (NYM, '96-'98; BOS, '02).
There will be a pre-game Meet & Greet with all of the Bluefish and MLB legends beginning at 5:30 pm. Tickets for the Meet & Greet include a seat for the game and can be purchased for just $98 by CLICKING HERE or by calling the Bluefish Box Office at 203-210-BLUE.
Game time on Saturday, August 5 will be 7:00 pm. General Admission tickets will go on sale on Monday, April 3, and will be sold for $15 in advance and $20 on the day of the game. Tickets can be purchased at www.bridgeportbluefish.com or by calling the Bluefish Box Office at 203-210-BLUE.
