(Lynn, MA) The North Shore Navigators will be having a familiar face on their coaching staff to start the 2016 Future's Collegiate Baseball League Season. General Manager Bill Terlecky announced that former Navigator Pete Gonski would be joining the team to serve as the pitching coach.

Gonski was a part of the Navigators pitching staff last season, making three appearances and striking out 8 batters in 11 innings of work. He will be reunited with his 2015 Manager John Zizzo, who is returning for his second year with the team.

During the 2016 collegiate season, Gonski pitched for the Salem State Vikings and helped to contribute to the team's success. He led the team in saves with 4, and ranked fourth on the team in strikeouts with 25. Gonski had similar success with the team in 2015, where he struck out 24 while posting a 2-2 record for the Vikings.

Baseball season is approaching fast at Fraser Field, as the Navs will have their home opener on Saturday, June 4th at 6 p.m. For more information about tickets for upcoming games, call (781)-595-9400 or check out our website nsnavs.com and become part of our summer fun!
