
2014 NBL Canada Draft Completed
August 25, 2014 - National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada) News Release
(VAUGHAN, ON): The National Basketball League of Canada held its fourth annual draft in league history on Sunday night at Wegz Stadium Bar in Vaughan, Ontario.
160 players competed over the weekend at the Pre-Draft Combine at the Athlete Institute in Mono, Ontario. 40 players were nominated to attend the Draft with the possibility of being selected.
The results of the draft were as follows:
FIRST ROUND
1. Mississauga - Jordan Weidner
2. Saint John - Jabs Newby
3. Moncton - Brandon Johnson
4. The Island - Brendan Cooper (traded to Halifax for the rights to Olu Famutimi)
5. Saint John - Jahmal McQueen
6. London - John Hart
7. Brampton -Dylan Brewer
8. Halifax - Michael Myers Keitt
SECOND ROUND
9. Mississauga - Anthony Pettaway
10. Halifax - Courtney Beach
11. Moncton - Freddie Appiah
12. The Island - Jordan Coleman
13. Saint John - John Paul Nyadaro
14. London - Delonte Taylor
15. Brampton - Yvon Raymond
16. Windsor - Robert Dewar
THIRD ROUND
17. Mississauga - Freddie Riley
18. Halifax - Jasonn Hannibal
19. Moncton - Matt Hunter
20. Mississauga - Marquis Lee
