FORT LAUDERDALE (March 22, 2013) - Single game tickets for the Fort Lauderdale Strikers 2013 season are now on sale. Fans can also purchase season tickets, group tickets and on-field experience packages, which are available now. These offers provide great value for the best seats and biggest games. Catch the most exciting games of the season, including Opening Kick against FC Edmonton on Saturday, April 6 at 7:30pm, with advance tickets starting at $12 at historic Lockhart Stadium. "The Strikers are dedicated to giving each and every fan a positive and memorable experience, both on and off the field, when they visit historic Lockhart Stadium during the 2013 season," said team president Tom Mulroy.
The Strikers have been a force on the offensive and defensive sides of the field this preseason. The team is unbeaten in five games, scoring 15 goals and allowing none. The Strikers have added experienced professionals to the 2013 roster including Jamaican international Shavar Thomas, former Honduran international Ivan Guerrero and 2011 NASL Best XI forward David Foley. These players join 2012 NASL Best XI Strikers Walter Restrepo and Mark Anderson to form a team certain to challenge for the 2013 Soccer Bowl.
PROMOTIONS
The 2013 spring home schedule is filled with a variety of promotions sure to please dedicated season ticket holders and fans of all ages. Below is a glance at the themes fans can look forward to enjoying during the upcoming season.
April 6 - Opening Kick - The Strikers welcome back fans for the 2013 season with a new look at Lockhart. The new south entrance greets fans with fun and interactive areas for all ages.
April 27 - The Florida Derby - It's Strikers vs. Rowdies and long time supporters as well as new fans will get caught up in celebrating one of the greatest rivalries in North American soccer.
May 11 - Ladies Night - It's Mother's Day weekend and the Strikers want to honor and celebrate all the special ladies who help our community and dedicate themselves to supporting and playing our sport.
June 1 - Summer Kickoff Party - Summer time always comes early to Fort Lauderdale and the Strikers are kicking off the season with specials and events designed to help fans enjoy everything our community's warm weather brings.
June 15 - International Soccer Night - The CONCACAF Gold Cup returns to South Florida in July with matches between Honduras and El Salvador as well as Haiti and Trinidad & Tobago. The Strikers welcome fans of all international sides and will be honoring South Florida's soccer champions at all levels as well.
June 29 - Fan Appreciation Night - With the final home game of the spring season, the Strikers will give fans a night to remember as we look back on a great spring and look forward to the Fall Championship season.
