Charlotte, NC -- The Charlotte Eagles are only 4 days away from opening night presented by Taki's against Antigua Barracuda FC. The Eagles will kick off the 2013 USL PRO season this Saturday, April 13.
Taki's, a part of the Barcel Grocery Group, will be giving away free bags of Taki's corn chips to the first 1,000 fans so be sure to get there early to get your free bag of Taki's! They will also be giving away t-shirts and other prizes throughout the evening so come enjoy some professional soccer and get some free Taki's chips and gear.
Taki's isn't the only sponsor this season as Queens University of Charlotte will be hosting "Queens Night" on Friday, April 19th against the Rochester Rhinos, where any Queens Faculty, Staff, Student will be presented a code by the school which is good for a reduced price ticket.
The first doubleheader featuring both the Men's team and the Lady Eagles on Saturday, June 1st will include the return of MUSTACHE NIGHT! There will be a photo booth at the game to take pictures of all of the fans who brought mustaches or got them from Eagles staff who will be handing them out. Along with mustache night there will be a PRINCESS NIGHT for the Lady Eagles game starting at 5 pm. Princess night will include free admission to any girl under 12 who is dressed up as her favorite princess.
A special feature for this season that was added earlier this spring was the partnership between Major League Soccer and the United Soccer Leagues. This partnership included the scheduling of a home and home with the Chicago Fire Reserves and the Charlotte Eagles. The Eagles will host the Fire Reserves on Friday, June 14th at Queens Sports Complex. The Eagles will then travel to Toyota Park on Saturday, June 29th. Both of these games will count in the MLS Reserve League standings and the USL PRO standings.
