The Official 2012 AFL Schedule was released late last week and it was announced that the VooDoo will begin their season with their first TWO GAMES at HOME, in the GRAVEYARD!
Sunday, March 18th, against the Philadelphia Soul...That's OPENING DAY! We are extremely excited about the first game of the season. Football on Sunday afternoon is a New Orleans tradition and we have a lot of special activities planned to kick the season off in true VooDoo style.
So, what can you expect from the VooDoo this year'
FAMILY FUN! The hours prior to gametime, the VooDoo throws the best street party in town right in front of the New Orleans Arena! At VooDoo Fan Fest, there's something for every member of the family. Every Fan Fest is headlined by popular local bands. While you're enjoying the live music, the kids will have plenty of activities like bounce-houses, football throws, and more. VooDoo players, VooDoo Dolls, and the VooDoo Mascots, Mojo & Bones, will also be on hand to sign autographs. VooDoo merchandise is always available at Fan Fest so you can be completely decked out prior to gametime. And don't forget, $1 BEER!
WINNING! New VooDoo Head Coach Pat O'Hara is so amped about being in New Orleans. Coach O'Hara is used to winning. He has THREE ArenaBowl Championship rings of his own and he plans to add another as Head Coach of the New Orleans VooDoo! After a successful open tryouts on October 1st, it's obvious that New Orleans is the PLACE TO BE for Arena Football!
