2011 Salem Red Sox Season Tickets Now on Sale

(Salem, VA) - The Salem Red Sox, Advanced Class-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, have announced season tickets for the 2011 season are now on sale. A few changes have been made to the season ticket package including an early-bird special, a new season ticket section, and more exclusive season ticket holder benefits. Any fan that purchases a season ticket before November 1, 2010 will receive a Salem Red Sox fleece blanket ($25 value) per ticket purchased.

The Salem Red Sox have introduced a package for "Strike Zone Seats," an expansion of the popular "Scout Seat" section that features up-close seating to home plate and in-seat waitress service. The "Scout Seats," which were located in the first two rows of the two sections directly behind home plate, were introduced in 2009 in an effort to expand season ticket options. To accommodate increased demand and popularity, the Salem Red Sox have expanded the section to create "Strike Zone Seats" by adding two additional sections and reserving all rows in each section for season ticket holders.

"With their padded seats, cup holders, and in-game waitress service, our 'Scout Seats' have become very popular over the last two seasons," said Salem Red Sox General Manager Todd Stephenson. "We wanted to expand the section to offer more season ticket options." With the removal of tarps covering two general admission sections this August, season ticket options, as well as individual game ticket options, have increased by nearly 600 seats.

The Salem Red Sox have also added additional benefits exclusively for season ticket holders including a monthly meal in the Salem Sox premiere "Club Level" suite for "Strike Zone Seat" and Parkview Terrace season ticket holders, 25% off suite discounts, exclusive season ticket holder concession line, and an exclusive "meet the team" event. Benefits from previous seasons like VIP parking passes, early entry into Lewis-Gale Field, 20% Salem Red Sox team store discounts, exclusive batting practice and picnics, guaranteed giveaways, and the ability to trade in unused tickets to another 2011 game will also be featured in each 2011 season ticket package.

Prices for season tickets are as follows: Parkview Terrace $499 ($7.12/game), Strike Zone Box Seat $449 ($6.41/game), Dugout Box Seat $399 ($5.70/game), Reserved Seat $349 ($4.98/game), and General Admission $299 ($4.27/game). Half season ticket plans are also available for purchase.
