
2011 Game Schedule Announced

Knoxville Smokies News Release
KODAK, Tenn. - The Tennessee Smokies, Double-A minor league affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, announce today the release of the team's 2011 game schedule. The Smokies will begin the season on the road Thursday, April 7, against the Chattanooga Lookouts and open at Smokies Park on Wednesday, April 13, against the Montgomery Biscuits.
Notable home games for the Smokies next year include an Independence Day celebration game on Sunday, July 3, against the Carolina Mudcats and the team's home finale against the Jacksonville Suns on Tuesday, August 30. The team will conclude their 2011 season on the road against the Mississippi Braves September 5.
