NORWICH, CT- With the start of the baseball season in Norwich merely days away the Connecticut Defenders will host their Annual Pre-season Fan Fest on Tuesday, April 7 to give fans their first look at the 2009 team.
The Defenders along with new skipper Steve Decker and his entire staff will be on hand to meet and greet fans from 5:30-6:30pm during a special autograph session. This will be the first and only chance to meet the team prior to the season.
At the conclusion of the autograph session, fans are invited to stay and watch the team practice before they head to Portland to take on the Sea Dogs to begin the 2009 season.
The Pre-season Fan Fest is FREE of charge to attend and fans of all ages are welcome. The entire ballpark will be open to view so fans will be able to roam the Mashantucket Picnic Pavilion, Lou's Lounge, the luxury Skyboxes or the latest improvement to Dodd Stadium, the newly renovated restrooms.
The 2009 season marks the 15th season Norwich has had a Double-A franchise and the seventh season as a Giants affiliate. Group or Individual tickets are available at www.ctdefenders.com or by calling the box office at (860) 887-7962.
