
2009 IFL Schedule Officially Released

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (December 9, 2008)- The Indoor Football League (IFL) has officially released the 2009 Schedule and divisional breakdowns. The Rochester Raiders will participate in the inaugural season with 18 other teams spanning the country from Texas to Alaska.
The IFL will be divided into two conferences (United Conference and Intense Conference) with a total of four divisions. The Raiders will play in the United Conference's Atlantic Division being accompanied by the Saginaw Sting, Maryland Maniacs, Muskegon Thunder, and River City Rage.
The Rochester Raiders will open the season at home on Thursday March 19, 2009 at the Blue Cross Arena against the Sioux Falls Storm. The Storm were ranked as the number one indoor team in the country during 2008 while the Raiders were ranked as the number two team. Week two of the season does not prove to be any easier as the Raiders travel to Michigan to face former CIFL rivals the Saginaw Sting. The Raiders will play a total of 14 games with 7 regular season home games at the Blue Cross Arena. The Raiders will travel to Alaska, Texas, Michigan, and Maryland. The Raiders will be entering their fourth season overall and their first in the newly established Indoor Football League (IFL).
