2008 UIF Schedule announced

Omaha, NE - United Indoor Football released its 2008 schedule today. It will be an early start to the season with three games slated for Saturday, March 8 when Billings hosts Omaha, Bloomington hosts Sioux Falls and league newcomer Wichita hosts Sioux City. Sunday, March 9 RiverCity hosts Colorado.
The league will consists of two conferences in 2008. The Eastern Conference will include the Bloomington (IL) Extreme, Omaha Beef, RiverCity (St. Charles, MO) Rage and Wichita Wild. Western Conference teams are the Billings Outlaws, Colorado Ice, Sioux City Bandits and Sioux Falls Storm.
Teams will play 14 games and have one bye over 15 weeks. Each team will play eight conference games. There will even be a couple of UIF primetime games. Sioux Falls hosts Colorado for a Monday night game on St. Patrick's Day, March 17. Wichita entertains Omaha Thursday, April 10.
Regular season games finish up June 14. Playoffs will take place the following two weekends. United Bowl IV is tentatively slated for July 12. No playoff games are scheduled over the Fourth of July holiday weekend.
