
2007 UHL All-Stars will shine in Fort Wayne

Fort Wayne, IN --- The United Hockey League and the Fort Wayne Komets announced today that the 2007 UHL All-Star Game will be held in Fort Wayne Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007.
2006-07 will be the 16th season for the UHL and feature the second UHL All-Star Classic to be hosted by Fort Wayne. "The entire Fort Wayne Komets organization is looking forward to hosting the UHL All-Star Classic," Komet President Michael Franke said. "It is indeed an honor for us."
"We are proud to have the Komets host the 2007 UHL All-Star Classic," stated Richard Brosal, UHL President/CEO. "The organization continues to excel and the Coliseum is an outstanding venue to have this event. The Komets and their fans made the All-Star Classic an enormous success in 2004 and we know it will be even more successful in 2007."
The 2007 UHL All-Star Game will be held at the Komet's home arena, the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum, which was renovated in 2002 and seats 10,500 for hockey. "Hosting the UHL All-Star Classic is another great event for the coliseum and the city of Fort Wayne," Coliseum general manager Randy Brown said. "We look forward to working with the Komets to make this a fun event for all hockey fans."
In addition, the All-Star players will be honored at a luncheon the day of the game. Fort Wayne will also be the site of the 2007 UHL Board of Governors semi-annual meeeting Jan. 18, 2007.
The UHL All-Star Game will be a part of the Komet's season ticket package for the 2006-07 Fort Wayne campaign. More information regarding the 2007 UHL All-Star Game will be released as details become available.
