Houma Bayou Bucks News Release
Houma, LaâThe Tri-Parish's only professional sports franchise would like to announce the 2004 Bayou Belles roster. The Bayou Belles are the dance squad associated with the Bayou Bucks. They focus their time and energy providing entertainment to all fans in attendance at Bucks contests.
The 2004 squad is made up of eighteen young ladies that hail from throughout the Bayou Region (ranging from Jeanerette to Chalmette). Returning members include: Lynn Authement (Houma), Allison Aymond (Jeanerette), Shelly Boudreaux (Houma), Leslie Chiasson (Houma), Christian Joseph (Thibodaux), Jessica Loupe (Lockport), and Nica Orgeron (Lockport). New members of the team are as follows: Kendra Aucoin (Raceland), Ashlee Champagne (Houma), Brittany DiBetta (Chalmette), Jenna Jo Faul (Luling), Temika Lomas (Gonzales), Megan Martin (Thibodaux), Erin Ryan (Patterson), Abby Thibodaux (Thibodaux), Heidi Vincent (Sulphur), Amy Vogt (Chalmette), and Allison Waguespack (Thibodaux).
The Belles will once again be under the direction of Mrs. Kris Suard. Nica Orgeron returns as assistant director while Allison Aymond, Leslie Chiasson, Christian Joseph, and Jessica Loupe will serve as captains.
In 2002 the Bayou Belles were recognized by the National Indoor Football League as "Dance Team of the Year."
The Bayou Bucks begin their third season on Friday March 12 at the Bancorp South Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. The following week the Bucks open their home schedule with a rematch of the first round of the 2003 playoffs against the Lake Charles Landsharks. For ticket information please call (985) 851-3600.
