In our Countdown to Playoffs, Reno1868FC.com will be highlighting notable moments, memorable performances, statistical trends, and more leading up to October 26.

Our sixth installment looks at Reno's playoff slate, as well as the club's playoff history.

With yesterday's win over Tulsa, Reno secured the second seed in the USL Western Conference. Reno will not know who they play on Saturday until Wednesday night after a pair of play-in matches.

Wednesday night will see seventh seeded Sacramento host 10th seeded New Mexico, and number eight Austin hosting number nine LA. After those two matches are played, the bracket will be re-seeded. The higher seed winning on Wednesday will go to Reno, and the lower seed will be going to Phoenix.

This season, Reno was a combined 6-0-0 against Sacramento, Austin and LA with a +10 goal differential. The boys in blue have never seen Sacramento, Austin or LA in a playoff match.

With a win on the 26th, Reno would be hosting another playoff match against the winner of the Fresno-El Paso match. Reno's second home match would be November 2 at 5:15 p. m. PT.

The USL Playoffs will feature two 15-minute extra time periods before going to penalty kicks. In the regular season, matches tied after 90 minutes were ruled a draw.
