18 Former Stampede Players to Skate in NCAA Tournament

Sioux Falls, SD--The Sioux Falls Stampede will once again be well represented during the 2014 NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Tournament. The Herd has at least one player on 10 of the 16 teams in the tournament and a total of 18 players participating. In addition, former head coaches Bob Motzko (1999-2001) and Mark Kaufman (2003-05). Motzko is the head coach at St. Cloud State while Kaufman is an assistant coach at Ferris State.
Minnesota, Boston College, Union and Wisconsin are the #1 seeds. The tournament begins on Friday at four different regional sites: St. Paul, Minn., Worcester, Mass., Bridgeport, Conn., and Cincinnati, Ohio.
Below is a list of schools in the tournament and the former Stampede players on their roster. The years they played in Sioux Falls is in parentheses.
