GARY, Indiana (October 31, 2005) "" The Gary Steelheads announced that single game tickets will be going on sale Monday, November 7 at 9:00AM. Tickets will be available at all Ticketmaster locations, as well as the Genesis Center Ticket Office.
The Steelheads tip-off the CBA's 60th Anniversary Season on Friday, November 18th, hosting the Rockford Lightning at the Genesis Center. A CBA finalist in 2004-2005, the Lightning fell to the CBA champion Sioux Falls Skyforce three-games-to-one.
New Steelheads coach Jaren Jackson, a key player on two previous CBA championship teams, plans on fielding a talented, hard-working basketball team that should appeal to basketball fans throughout Northwest Indiana. This plan was reflected in the players he chose in the 2005 CBA Draft.
"I wanted to focus on getting quality guys that were talented and big,"Â said Jackson. "I wanted guys who were going to compete for a roster spot...guys who were one step away from being in the NBA."Â
