Colorado Crush News Release
The Colorado Ice are proud to announce the signings of three new players to the Ice Organization. The three players are Darius Hart, Chris Bradwell, and Bradis McGriff.
Hart is a 6'5", 260 lb defensive end from Oklahoma State University, who was rated as 69th best defensive end prospect in the 2011 draft class. Hart played his final two seasons at OSU, playing in 26 games over those two seasons. During his time at OSU, Hart recorded 35 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and 1 sack. Hart was a key player in OSU's win over Arizona in the 2010 Alamo Bowl with his 2 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and havoc that he created all game. Before OSU, Hart attended Pearl River CC where his athletic ability was evident before he even stepped on the field. Hart was initially recruited as a WR, but because of his athletic ability and physical presence was quickly moved to LB and then later moved to DE. Hart's athletic ability and production at Pearl River CC resulted in him being rated the 7th best JUCO defensive end prospect in the nation after his sophomore season.
Bradwell is a 6'5", 280 lb defensive end/defensive tackle from Troy University, who was rated as the 44th best defensive tackle prospect in the 2008 draft class. Bradwell spent his final season at Troy University after spending the previous three seasons at Mississippi JC and Florida State University respectively. During his senior season at Troy, Bradwell accumulated 36 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 touchdown. Bradwell's unique combination of size and speed resulted in him having many opportunities in the NFL; with him finally signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After being released by the Buccaneers in 2009, Bradwell quickly signed with the St. Louis Rams; spending most of the season on their practice squad. Bradwell's talents have been recognized in various leagues as over the past year he has also been signed to the rosters of the Georgia Force of the AFL and the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL.
McGriff is a 6'6", 355 lb offensive lineman from San Jose State University, who was rated as high as the 45th best offensive tackle prospect in the 2009 draft class. There were numerous draft boards that listed McGriff as a sleeper prospect because of his pure size and athletic ability. McGriff spent his final 3 seasons at SJSU after transferring from Arizona State University. McGriff proved his worth at SJSU quickly, playing a considerable amount on the offensive line his first two seasons and then starting in all 12 games at right tackle his final season. His talent didn't go unnoticed as he earned an opportunity to go to rookie camp with the Arizona Cardinals and then later joined the Oakland Raiders in 2009.
