Penalty Trouble Leads to OT Loss in Rouyn-Noranda
October 31, 2025 - The Halifax Mooseheads have been lights out on the penalty kill in recent weeks but it was poor discipline that put them in a tough position on Halloween in Rouyn-Noranda where the Huskies scored three times on the power play, including the overtime winner in a 5-4 come-from-behind victory over the Herd.

Thunderbirds, Hoggarth Agree to Three-Year Extension
October 30, 2025 - HALIFAX, NS - The Halifax Thunderbirds today announced that the team has signed forward Thomas Hoggarth to a three-year contract extension (pending league approval).
"There's something about Halifax. The people, the energy, The Nest, it just feels like home," said Hoggarth. "Grateful to stay and keep representing this city"
Hoggarth, 30, is an eight-year NLL veteran who just finished his first year as a member of the Thunderbirds. The team acquired the forward last September from Calgary.

Mooseheads Stun Another Top Team
October 30, 2025 - Where do you begin with what this upstart Halifax Mooseheads team has been able to accomplish early in the QMJHL season. The club continued to prove the doubters wrong on Wednesday night with a massive upset of the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada by scoring a 7-5 victory in the suburbs of Montreal.

Thunderbirds Ink Knox to One-Year Extension
October 29, 2025 - HALIFAX, NS - The Halifax Thunderbirds today announced that the team has signed forward Jason Knox to a one-year contract extension.
"I'm beyond excited to get back to work with the guys. I know all of us feel that we have unfinished business from last year, and I'm certainly excited for another year wearing the purple and orange. Can't wait to get back to The Nest!" Knox said.
