October 16, 2026 - Kennewick, WA - The Tri-City Americans (3-5-0-1) had a strong opening 20 minutes Friday night, firing 15 shots on goal, but had just eight shots the rest of the way in a 3-1 loss to the Everett Silvertips (3-4-1-1) at the Toyota Center. Americans trade defenseman David Byrne to Vancouver

October 14, 2026 - Kennewick, WA. - Tri-City Americans general manager Bob Tory today announced the team has traded 2008-born defenseman David Byrne to the Vancouver Giants in exchange for a 2030 seventh-round pick (Portland). "We wanted to get down to seven defensemen, so as to give some of our younger defensemen more ice time," said Tory.
