Xtreme to hold final open player tryout February 4th
January 8, 2005 - National Indoor Football League (NIFL)
New Jersey Xtreme News Release
East Rutherford -NJ This is your final chance to be an Xtreme player.
Head Coach Perry Williams, a highly regarded veteran of the NFL and 2x Superbowl Champion with the NY Giants, knows the type of player he is looking for. Dedication and determination are some of the major factors that a player must have. The Xtreme announce their final tryout for the team with a chance to play at perhaps the most recognized arena in the USA, the meadowlands' Continental Airlines Arena. The Xtreme are looking to field a championship caliber team and bring a winning squad to the NY/NJ area. Players that make our final roster will be exposed to the possibility of them being seen by several NFL teams in the near vicinity. The team will play directly next door to Giant's Stadium which is home to both the NFL Giants and NFL Jets. The roster is wide open and all positions are still being considered for all players ages 19 and over. Please note and be advised that by trying out for this professional football team it will effectively end any remaining NCAA or NAIA eligibility the player may have left. Players must wear workout clothing along with suitable turf shoes or sneakers for the indoor tryout. Track spikes and cleats will not be permitted.
