NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. - The Daytona Beach Hawgs' dance team now has a name and a full complement of dancers following a second audition held this week at New Smyrna Beach High School.
Presenting the Harleigh Girls, a talented group of 20 dancers under the guidance of Coordinator Kelly Conway, who has the New Smyrna Beach High Showdolls to nine national championships.
"I'm thrilled the dancers of this area have a chance to continue dancing at a higher level,'' Conway said. "The girls we have selected have the determination and the talent. We will be an excellent representation of the team.
Hawgs Head Coach/General Manager Ervin Bryson echoed that sentiment.
"This is going to be a professional organization,'' Bryson said. "I'm thrilled to have Kelly on board and am amazed with what she has done. I'm looking forward to seeing the Harleigh Girls on the sidelines during our games."

The Harleigh Girls will begin their preparations for the 2005 season in February after Conway finishes preparing the Showdolls for their national competition.
