
Windy City Bulls Fall to Eastern Conference Leading Fort Wayne Mad Ants

Fort Wayne, IN- The Windy City Bulls (6-11), presented by BMO Harris Bank, the official NBA Development League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, fell 122-115 to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Tuesday evening at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Indiana.
Windy City shot 58% from the field while six players finished in double figures, led by Will Bynum, who posted 22 points in his second game after being acquired by the Bulls in late December.
Aaron Thomas (19 points), Andre Dawkins (18 points), Alfonzo McKinnie (18 points), Alec Brown (12 points) and J.J. Avila (10 points) rounded out the Bulls double figure scorers.
The Mad Ants, the NBA D-League Affiliate of the Indiana Pacers, improved to 13-5 on the season and remain in first place in the Eastern Conference. Trey McKinney-Jones and Jordan Loyd paced Fort Wayne with 22 points each. Christian Watford added 17 points and seven rebounds.
Fort Wayne jumped out to a 38-33 advantage after the first quarter and took a 70-57 lead into the locker room at the half behind 15 first half points from McKinney-Jones. The Mad Ants quickly extended their lead to 82-60 early in the second half before Windy City began to chip away, bringing the deficit within single digits later in the frame.
With under a minute remaining in the game, a layup by Dawkins brought the Bulls to within six points at 121-115, but Fort Wayne held on to earn the victory.
The Bulls return home to the Sears Centre Arena for back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday night. Both games are scheduled to tip-off at 7 pm as the Bulls celebrate Indian Heritage Night on Friday and Barks and Beers on Saturday, when fans can bring their furry friends to the game and also enjoy a craft beer tasting in the Sears Centre Club.
