SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The Santa Cruz Warriors (12-10) defeated the Canton Charge (12-9) 109-105 on Wednesday night in front of a seventeenth consecutive sellout crowd at Kaiser Permanente Arena. The Santa Cruz bench outscored Canton's reserves 57-12, en route to snapping Canton's six-game win streak.
Alex Hamilton led the Warriors with 22 points, 5 assists and 5 rebounds off the bench, shooting 57% from the field. Phil Pressey contributed 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists, while Cam Jones added 12 points, 4 assists, and 4 rebounds.

Chris Evans added 19 points and 5 rebounds, while Eric Moreland notched a double-double, adding 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Damian Jones and Scott Wood combined for Santa Cruz's first 12 points of the game before a 17-0 run from Canton gave the visitors a 13-point advantage. The Warriors were able to inhibit an extension of their deficit, scoring 6 points to enter the second frame down by ten.
Santa Cruz opened the second frame on a 10-3 run, coming within three points of Canton in the early minutes of the period. Despite the Warriors outscoring the Charge 29-27, the visitors would maintain an eight-point edge heading into the break. Canton's Roosevelt Jones scored 11 of his 21 points to lead all scorers in the frame.
Coming out of the locker room, the Charge opened their lead to as many as 16 points, good for their greatest advantage of the night. At the 2:25 mark in the third quarter, the Warriors began a 29-3 run over a span of nine minutes to take a ten-point lead by the 5:23 mark in the final frame. Canton would then claw back, eventually tying the game at 101-101 on a Quinn Cook triple with 49.8 seconds left, but the Warriors' Alex Hamilton knifed through the lane for a lay-up on the ensuing possession for the hosts to regain the lead for good.
