
Red Dogs welcome trio

Black Hills Red Dogs News Release
The Black Hills Red Dogs of the National Indoor Football League, NIFL, would like to announce the following new additions to the 2004 Red Dogs roster; Brian Gaines, Sherman Jones, and Joe West.
Brian Gaines a Line Backer/Strong Safety played his collegiate career at Portland State University and also with Utah organization during the 2003 season when the team went all the way to the NIFL championship game. The Red Dogs organization feels that Gaines will make a big impact to the teams' defense for the final stretch of the 2004 season.
"Brian's experience in the NIFL combined with his speed, strength, and knowledge will give us a much needed boost to our defense," said Coach Ware.
Sherman Jones who comes from playing with Tri City Diesel in 2003 and played his collegiate career at Adams State College. Jones will give the Red Dogs team depth at the running back position and will be a nice addition to the team.
When asked about Sherman Jones Coach Ware said, "Sherman's a very solid back that has been pretty consistent the last couple of years with Tri-City. He gives us a good change of pace in our running game."
Joe West 6'4 290 pound Offensive Lineman fresh out of Sterling College who will help round out the Red Dogs 25-man roster going in to their next game in Rapid City versus the Wyoming Cavalry.
The Black Hills Red Dogs are in their fourth season in the NIFL and will play their next home game on Saturday, May 15th against the Wyoming Cavalry. All home games are played at The Rushmore Plaza Civic Center and tickets are available through the Civic Center Box Office call 394-4111 or 1-800-GOT-MINE.
