CardSharks on the Road Again

Atlantic City, NJ, May 14, 2004 – The CardSharks are preparing to travel to Evansville, Indiana on Saturday, May 15th to face the Evansville Blue Cats. The Blue Cats (3-3) are coming off a win over the Show Me Believers that featured 172 points scored. The CardSharks (2-4) continued their success at home in Boardwalk Hall, with a 57-36 win over the Staten Island Xtreme last Saturday.

The game will feature two Quarterbacks that each threw 7 touchdown passes in last week's games. CardSharks QB Tony Racioppi was 25 for 37 with 276 yards on the night. Ramon Robinson for the Blue Cats lit up the Show Me Believers with 399 yards passing, and as 28 for 36.

The CardSharks may be without the services of Linebacker Earl Biddy for the game. Biddy injured his ankle after he returned an interception for a two-point conversion in the first half against Staten Island. Offensive lineman Lamont Green will also be out of action for an extended period of time with torn triceps, suffered in the first quarter against Staten Island.

"We have been improving steadily this season, and Evansville will be a good test for us," stated General Manager and Head Coach Mike Siani. "It is important for the team to establish themselves on the road, and play a competitive sixty minutes in Evansville."
